How does Minoxidil work?
Similar to the topical form of Minoxidil, oral Minoxidil works by relaxing the blood vessels through a process called vasodilation. This relaxation widens blood vessels, improving blood flow and delivering essential nutrients and oxygen.

How to use Minoxidil 2.5mg 30 tablets
Take half a tablet daily for 14 days then one tablet daily thereafter.
These tablets can be taken with or without food.
Side effects of Minoxidil 2.5mg 30 tablets
Side effects are uncommon and typically reversible. Potential side effects may include excessive hair growth (hypertrichosis) in other body areas, headaches, and fluid retention.
As your body gets used to the medication, you may experience dizziness or lightheadedness.
Report any serious side effects to your doctor or pharmacist right away, including:
Fast heartbeat
Symptoms of heart failure (such as shortness of breath, swelling ankles/feet, unusual tiredness, unusual/sudden weight gain)
Fainting
Seek medical assistance immediately if you have any very serious side effects, including:
Pain in the jaw, chest or left arm
Seek medical assistance right away if you have symptoms of a severe allergic reaction to this medication, including:
Rash
Itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat)
Severe dizziness
Difficulty breathing

These tablets can be taken with or without food. Consult your doctor to determine if any of your other medications should be taken at the same time.

To minimize the chances of experiencing dizziness or fainting, particularly for older patients, avoid getting up rapidly from a sitting or standing position. Alcohol consumption can intensify dizziness, flushing, and rapid heartbeats. Hence, it is advisable to refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages. Additionally, you may also experience dryness in your mouth.

Minoxidil tablets can be taken with or without food. If you experience any stomach upset, it is advisable to take them with food.

If you suffer from female pattern hair loss we suggest trying the Regaine for women solution or the Regaine for women extra strength foam. The solution contains Minoxidil 2%, the foam 5% Minoxidil and both can be bought without a prescription.
